Why your TV aerial matters more than you think
London's aerial landscape is complex. The capital is served primarily by the Crystal Palace transmitter, but signal quality varies dramatically by area, property type, floor level, and surrounding buildings. A terraced house in Clapham, a mansion flat in Chelsea, and a new-build tower in Nine Elms all have completely different aerial requirements — and a cheap, undersized aerial installed without proper signal testing will underperform in all three.
We install high-gain, wideband aerials that are future-proofed against frequency changes and sized correctly for your location and property type. Every installation includes a full signal test with calibrated equipment before we leave, so you know exactly what you're getting.

TV aerial installation — what's involved
A professional aerial installation isn't just screwing a bracket to your chimney. Our engineers will assess your signal environment using test equipment; recommend the correct aerial type and position for your property; install with proper weatherproofing and cable sealing; run new coaxial cable if needed; and test every outlet before leaving.
We work on all property types: chimney-stack mounting on Victorian terraces, gable-end installations on detached houses, flat-roof and loft-mounted aerials, and communal systems for blocks of flats.
- High-gain, wideband aerials (ready for future frequency changes)
- Chimney, gable-end, and loft-mounted installations
- Extra aerial points added to any room
- New coaxial cable and cable management
- DAB digital radio aerial installation
- IRS communal aerial systems for flats and developments
TV aerial repair — fast, same-day response
Most aerial faults can be diagnosed and fixed on the same visit. Our engineers carry a comprehensive range of spares and test equipment, so whether it's a loose connection, a corroded bracket, a misaligned aerial, or storm damage, we'll assess, quote, and fix — usually within an hour. Common problems we fix same-day:
- Pixelation, freezing, or complete loss of Freeview channels
- Aerial knocked out of alignment by wind or storm
- Water ingress through coaxial cable entry point
- Corrosion on aerial bracket or connections
- Faulty signal splitter or distribution amplifier
- Old aerial unable to receive all digital channels
- Shared aerial system not distributing signal to all flats
Storm damage repairs
High winds and storms are the single biggest cause of aerial faults in London and Surrey. A dislodged or fallen aerial isn't just an inconvenience — it can be a safety hazard. We prioritise storm-damage callouts, re-secure or replace damaged aerials and brackets, repair water ingress at the cable entry point, and restore your signal the same day wherever possible.
Aerial upgrades
If your aerial was installed more than ten years ago, it may be struggling to receive all available Freeview channels cleanly. Frequency adjustments since the digital switchover have made older aerials increasingly marginal. An upgrade to a modern high-gain, wideband aerial typically costs less than a hundred pounds and delivers an immediately noticeable improvement in picture quality and channel availability.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a TV aerial repair cost in London?+
Most TV aerial repairs start from £75. This covers fault diagnosis and the majority of common repairs. We always give you a clear price before starting work. If we can't fix it on the first visit (rare), we won't charge for the return visit.
Can you come today to fix my aerial?+
In most cases, yes. We have engineers working across London and Surrey six days a week and offer same-day appointments for most areas. Call before noon for the best chance of a same-day slot.
My Freeview channels are pixelating — do I need a new aerial?+
Not necessarily. Pixelation is often caused by a loose connection, a failing signal booster, or an aerial that has shifted slightly. Our engineer will diagnose the exact cause before recommending any work. A full aerial replacement is sometimes needed, but a repair is often cheaper and quicker.
Do you install aerials in flats and blocks?+
Yes. We work on all property types including purpose-built blocks, converted period properties, and new-build flats. For blocks where multiple flats share a system, we can install or upgrade an IRS (Integrated Reception System) to serve the whole building.
What's the difference between a TV aerial and a satellite dish?+
A TV aerial receives terrestrial (over-the-air) signals from transmitters like Crystal Palace, giving you Freeview channels. A satellite dish receives signals from satellites in orbit, giving you Sky, Freesat, or international channels. We install and repair both.
